Apalla and 1st MechanizedInfantry Battalion, 1st Mechanized Brigade, Mechanized Infantry Division, Philippine Army under Lt. Col. Lauro G. Oliveros, Commanding Officer,successfully served simultaneously the search warrants number 2016-301 and 2016-302 respectively,issued by Hon. Judge Bansawan Z. Ibrahim, Al-Haj of RTC Branch 13 dated November 28 2016against AyaBalabaran@ Commander Biente of BrgyKusiong, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindnao and LamieMamasabakulod@ Commander Lawin,BrgyKagawad of BrgyTapian, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao on 30 November 2016. The operation led to the arrest of AyaBalabaran@ Commander BienteofBrgyKusiong, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanaoand seized from his possession were two (2) pieces large heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and seven (7) pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to beshabu weighing more or less 51 grams. Also arrested from the operation was NorminaAbdulaTampugao and seized from her possession were two hundred fifty nine (259) pieces small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Furthermore, recovered at the area of operation were one (1) M16 Rifle attached with M203 GL, two (2) M16, three (3) M14 Rifle, four (4) 45 cal. pistol, one (1) improvised pistol shotgun, two (2) 40MM M79 rifle grenade, assorted magazines and ammunitions. On the other hand, the operation in Tapian, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindnao resulted to the arrest of LamieMamasabakulod@ Commander Lawin and AlmendrasSanday Mama Jr. after seized from their possession were six (6) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to beshabu weighing more or less 50 grams, one (1) BAR, one (1) M16, one (1) cal. 45 pistol, assorted magazines, ammunitions and drug paraphernalia. Likewise, seven suspected drug users were also arrested in the area during the said operation. The arrested persons are now under the custody of PDEA Regional Office ARMM. The operation was the result of the joint effort of the 6ID and the PDEA as part of its effort to completely dismantle the biggest operational base and distribution hub of illegal drugs in Central Mindanao.

  • 6ID Kampilantroopers added 14 new photos — with Deafarmy Polomolok John Tindongan.Major General Galvez awards outstanding troops of 6ID Eight Army soldiers and a Reconnaissance Company were recognized during the Monday Flag Raising ceremony on November 24, 2016. 6th Infantry Division Commander, Maj. Gen. Carlito G. Galvez Jr., awarded the deserving officers and enlisted personnel with the bronze cross medals and command plaques during the ceremony. The recipients of bronze cross medal were: 1Lt Johntonee M. Olave; 2Lt Bryan Marvin P. Tabor; Sgt Arnel A. Padawan; Cpl Joan B. Gomez; Cpl Mar O. Botanas; and PFC Rex P. Lebonpasil for successfully recovered 1 tube of 40mm, 6 hand grenades; 1 ammo box consisting 5 rounds of Cal .50 linked, 1 upper receiver of M16 rifle, 1 hand guard of M203 40mm, assorted parts of Cal .50, 2 improvised barret rifles, 5 garand rifles, 1 homemade RPG, and 1 M14 rifle during the conduct of search and clearing operations to Barangay Captain Datu Rene “Renz” Tukuran at Brgy. Lumopog, Midsayap, North Cotabato last November 24, 2016. Tukuran, a wanted drug trafficker, was served with a searched warrant by the raiding team for his violation of Republic Acts 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Presidential Decree 1866. Meanwhile, the 62nd Division Reconnaissance Company (62DRC) of 6ID was awarded with a Command Plaque for their outstanding performance during the conduct of major operations in Talitay, Maguindanao and Brgy. Lumopog, Midsayap North, Cotabato on November 18-26, 2016 resulting to the recovery of crew-served weapons, high powered firearms and 18,000 rounds of assorted ammunition. The 62DRC carried their mission to implement the standing order of President Rodrigo R. Duterte to stop the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country. Their accomplishment significantly degraded the armed capability of drug lords in Central Mindanao. The unit was also awarded by Maj. Gen. Galvez with the significant cash prize for their heroic and meritorious achievements for the Division. On the other hand, Command Plaques was given to Cpt. Arturo A. Llaso and TSg. Francis Delino for being adjudged as the Best Chaplain of the Year 2016 and as Best Chaplain Assistant of the Year 2016, respectively, by the Office of the Army Chaplain Service during the 79th Founding Anniversary of Chaplain Service of the AFP.
