  • 6ID holds series of change of commands, chiefs of offices CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao – The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division held series of turn-overs of commands and chiefs of offices following the recent assumption of Major General Carlito G. Galvez, Jr. as the Commander of 6ID last September 12, 2016. The Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations (G7) and the Assistant Chief of Staff for Communication, Electronics and Information System (G6) held a joint Change of Chiefs of Office Ceremony here last Tuesday . Division G7 Lt. Col. Nasser P. Lidasan was replaced by Lt. Col. Markton G. Abo, who is outgoing Division G6 of the Command. Lt. Col. Lidasan is also the current Commanding Officer of 5th Special Forces Battalion who was performing his duties in a dual capacity before Lt Colonel Abo assumed as the Division G7. Maj. Gen. Galvez presided over the Change of Command of 6th Division Training School (6DTS) in the morning of September 22, Thursday and the 38th Infantry (Cadre) Battalion (38IB) later in the afternoon. Lt. Col. Donald M. Gumiran replaced 6DTS Commandant Col. Bernie S. Langub in a ceremony at 6DTS in Brgy. Semba, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao. Lt. Col. Gumiran was replaced by outgoing Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel G1 Lt Col. Michael A. Santos in a ceremony held at Headquarters, 38IB attended by the officers, personnel and civilian employees of the Command. Deputy G6 Cpt. Kristoffer P. Baba and Lt. Col. Saudi E. Nur assumed as the Officer-in- Charge of the Office of G6 and Office of G1, respectively. Meanwhile, the Officers, Enlisted Personnel and Civilian Employees of 6ID gathered at the Officer’s Clubhouse, PA for the Change of Office Ceremony of the Chief of Staff yesterday where outgoing Chief of Staff Col. Langub was replaced by Col Fernando M. Reyeg presided by Maj. Gen. Galvez Jr. Col. Langub, who served in a dual capacity as the Commandant of 6DTS and Division Chief of Staff, will assume a higher post as the new Commander Army Reserve Command based in Cavite which is a BGEN position. Col. Reyeg was personally picked by Maj. Gen. Galvez to hold the Office of Chief Staff because of his sterling leadership as the Battalion Commander of the 3SRBn that save Lamitan City from the onslaught of ASG and other Lawless elements last September 12-13, 2013. He is also an outstanding officer based from his past experiences in the military as the fund custodian of the Special Operation Command. The Commander encouraged the new Chiefs of Offices and Commanders of 38IB and 6DTS to continue to work with time and passion in order to sustain 6ID’s sterling performance. Turnover of Commands and Change of Chiefs of Offices are normal in a military organization for organizational dynamism and professional growth.
